listen guys ...whatever the case may be ..i dont think there should be a forum on religon anywhere..i was surprised to see it here but dint wanna say anything that might offend ya in any way.;..religon is a personal thing and should not be discussed but ur is a religon based community so u can do it if there s a consensus on it...as far as us indians are concerned we r not too interested to have a forum on religon..it s something we havent experienced and are not too happy experiencing it now...we d be happier without it.

havin said that ..i would also like to point out that not everybody would appreciate that kinda art..people in india are used to diet of 250 channels including the indian mtv and numerous movie and reality channels ..full of glamour and representing our culture...i dont think anybody would be very interested in watching pak dramas simply cause they will not be able to identify with the culture and even minor nuances of it... which does not negate the fact that they are brilliant..it is laways just a few people who transcend boundries of culture and try and understand the art of that country from that countries perspective...it s not easy never the less.

ok here s the observation...these are the dramas that portray the contemporary culture of pakistan...it s really nice and kool in its own way but very different from india..not once did i see a carnal embrace or even holding hands in these dramas..clean as a sparkle...they portray ur cultral, religious and even ur emotional ethos..and that s how they should be projected...of course talent is a non issue cause there were some thorough bred actors in there,,but they lose out on production values, and technicalities which of course is a big factor..they have been shot on video and not even dubbed...BUT never the less are conceived ( in terms of actual story and screenplay) and directed so overwhelmingly billiantly that all the other flaws dont even strike ya. now i m talkin old dramas cause my buddy told me that these came out in the 80's...well nfak i dont get ptv...but i ll try to get em on video. i have a solid source now. keep recommending names and i ll take em one by one. the ones that i saw are supposed to be all time classics and i dont doubt that one bit...thats art..in all its captivating simplicity.

2.. some percive hinduism as a way of life rather than a religon and thus in the land of free people from a different communities are free to practice their faiths and beliefs and that is the concept of hinduism...so therfore hindustan according to them was coined cause it meant 'the place where this concept of hinduism is practiced.....that is the theory that the bjp government practices that is why it some of it members refer to india as hindustan...which of course is not derogatory for other faiths but is controversial and and subject to debate.

two theories----- 1..the word ' hindustan ' is a misnomer for india..i ll tell ya why....hindustan in hindi when split to hindu and stan ie..hindu ka sthan or place for hindus...which is corse not the case ..indian people more commonlly refer to india in hindi as 'bharat' cause that is more apt name.....hindustan sounds colonial and is against the ideology of our constitution..'hindustan' came along with the mughals who called india that....anyways my point is that india is not just hindustan ..if u know what i mean...but yes we r still reffered to as that by pakistan...and a few stupid hindus who are delibrately 'oblivious' to the fact that india is a secular country and that is a reality that the 99% of people take pride on and the reality that the dont wannna accept and not mention exploit it to their benefit.india is such a melting point for so many cultures..besides hindus ..there are more muslims than pakistan....buddhism originated there and teh dalai lama has made it his home...india houses so many tibbetians u d be amazed...so may people come seekin thedalai lama...mother tereasa was there in the role of a missionary..she was a cult in herself....sikhs are there in abundance. so that s how life is for most of the people ...we r so used to be lilvin with so many religons and traditions around us...like i said 99% benenfit from it....but there s that faction too in all communities that is not too pleased with all that. india is a place where people from all over the world come seekin spirituality which is of course not the same is religon....for our present and upcomin generation religon is and never would be a criterion for anythig...trust me we have evolved beyond al that ..it s a secular country and thats a relaity and that s how it ll always be ....for the most part it is grrt... people are chillin out there..nobody cares bout it anymore

well that is the case.......that s how pople live in india...course there are some fools who take it more seriously than it wanna be taken..but normal regular people are not obsessed with it...we r religious but in the right amounts...there s no compulsion... we do our Sh** and moreover it s a secular country and not a religon based so nothing is based or alluded to religon thus it totally boils down to individual choices.

course there are rules but they have changed and evolved with passage of times..what was relevent then is not relevent now...one of em is abstainence from beef...some sects propogate vegeterianism but there are no rules..who s a vegetarian in these days ..just a few brahmins...see there are no rules in hinduism just a few guidelines,,thats why it s kinda flexible and easy....the festivals that i was talkin bout are celebrated exactly the way i have specified above.lol they are a riot...best time to go to india.

there s no problem sall!! there are various sects to it( so many gods)lol i mean u can pick one suiting ur convenience..i m sayin this in a lighter vein.but overall it just lets u be and nothing is a taboo , not even liqour or sex unless u do something that botehrs somebody else...it s a fun religon that involves a lotta singing and dancing and revers artists. they are supposed to be special..india is a major site for it..besides india nepal also has a large proprtions of hindus except that india is not a hindu country and nepal is...if u know what i mean. major festivals in hinduism are diwali..festiviies begin a few days before diwali ...from dusshera onwards till diwali..and we burst crackers ..everything is lit up...and another norm during the diwali time is the teen patti sessions that is sucha part of festivites..they are called all nighters and people get together from all walks of life and gamble...it s also a very drunk festival.lol the second is called holi..fun festival to the core..colors , water balloons..u can color anybody and the other person wont mind..everybody is just wet and colored that day..not to mention drunk.lol the day time color parties are in vogue now and one just makes a gang and hops from one to the other just drinking and frolicking all the way.

PISCES (2/19--3/20): "Heavenly Father, as I prepare to consume this last fifth of Scotch to drown out my pain and sorrow, may my inebriation be for Thy greater Honor and Glory." MMMMMMMMM PRETTY TRUE EXCEPT THAT 5TH IS NEVER THE LAST.LOL
